Welcome
The Moors Inn is a family run pub with a reputation for good food, located in the quiet village of Appleton-le-Moors in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The unspoilt village of Appleton-le-Moors, historically mentioned as "Apeltun" in the Doomsday book, provides a peaceful and picturesque base for your holiday. Whether you are looking for a short break, or a longer stay, you can get away from it all at The Moors.
The village is situated ideally for exploring the North Yorkshire Moors and Heritage Coast, as well as the pretty local market towns and the many visitor attractions on offer not far away, see our Local Information page to be inspired. Perfect for quiet relaxation or for more active visitors, the natural beauty of the area is accessible from the doorstep.
The inn, which throughout its varied history was called The Blue Boar (until 1845) and the Oddfellows Arms (until the 1980s) is a grade II listed building, built in the 18th century and has been thoughtfully restored to reflect its past, whilst providing every modern comfort to guests.
Listed in the good Pub Guide since 2004, and recently in Alastair Sawday's "Special places to stay" guide, we aim to provide every guest with an enjoyable stay, and indeed, many of our visitors return time and time again, see our Visitors Feedback page for some of their comments. We aim to make every guest feel at home, and get the most out of their stay in this special area of England.
